Yellow Cottage Kitchen is a vibrant training bakery and safe learning space where adults with disabilities build skills, confidence, and community. Part of the future Art Place campus, it brings purpose, beauty, and opportunity under one roof.
There are very few places in Waco where adults with disabilities can build job-ready skills in a supportive, professional environment. Yellow Cottage Kitchen changes that — offering hands-on culinary training, transferable skills, and a pathway to workplace inclusion, all in a space that feels like home.
Other cities have these spaces. Waco deserves one too!
Yellow Cottage Kitchen is the first brick in a larger vision: ArtPlace, a dynamic campus designed to celebrate creativity and community through inclusive programming. Whether it’s baking, painting, sculpting, or music, the future of ArtPlace centers people — not just products.
Participants learn the ins and outs of commercial baking in a structured, supportive setting. They rotate through roles, wear real uniforms, operate commercial equipment, and collaborate with volunteers and professionals. Some will go on to jobs. Others will simply belong. The point is: they have the choice.
Whether you give once or monthly, your support directly funds job training, equipment, ingredients, and mentorship for adults with disabilities. This isn’t charity. It’s investment in a better Waco.
