Cultural Arts of Waco, in partnership with the City of Waco, seeks to implement a significant public art project through the commissioning and installation of a major work of art to honor World War II hero, Doris Miller.

Our intent is to expand this project to include the disciplines of urban design, architecture and sculptural design to revitalize a riverfront community park through the use of placemaking as a means of strengthening the connection between the east and west banks of the Brazos River in downtown Waco and stimulating development in an economically depressed part of our city.
